About Jobeffekter.dk

What is Jobeffekter.dk?

Jobeffekter.dk is a knowledge bank gathering and disseminating relevant research results on the labour market. The website was developed in 2013 by the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment collaboratively with a number of independent researchers.

Jobeffekter.dk is for researchers, students, practitioners, politicians or government officials and the aim of the website is to provide a quick and easy up-to-date and honest overview of what has been proved to have a positive effect on the labour market. In this regard, it should be noted that the overview of evidence on Jobeffekter.dk will not always be compatibel to the overview of evidence that you will find in litterature reviews and reports completed separatly for the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment (link), as these can have applied other inclusion criteria and weighting of the included studies. It will appear clearly on Jobeffekter.dk which steps the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recriutment have taken to determine the evidence of what works on the labour market.

On Jobeffekter.dk, you can find and compare the effects of various interventions for different target groups. Moreover, you can search for key effect studies on the labour market and view how these studies have been quality-assured by researchers. Finally, you can upload your own suggestions for studies that you think should be included in the knowledge bank as well as save and share the results and studies that are of particular interest to you.

The effects on Jobeffekter.dk are based on around 530 Danish and international research-based studies selected, assessed and uploaded to the knowledge bank by researchers, and new studies are regularly uploaded in a effort to collect as much of the current knowledge as possible. In their assessment, the researchers take into account the quality and relevance of the study by weighting the studies, so published studies have a higher weight than not published, and Randomized Controlled Trails weight higher than econometric or other statistical effect studies. On the basis of the results of the weighted studies, the overall conclusion on effect is calculated for the target groups and interventions that you want to find information on.

In the following, you can read more about the researchers, weights and calculations behind Jobeffekter.dk. In addition, you can gain an insight into the target groups, interventions and effects you can find on the website, as well as examples of how to apply knowledge from Jobeffekter.dk.
